Kate & Steve's Wedding, and the mighty Hog Roast!

So this Bank holiday weekend was a corker!
It started off with a fabulous day in High Easter celebrating Kate & Steve's wedding day. It was a grand affair with a pick up from the Radisson in a red double decker bus, taking us to Maidens Barn, where we found a gorgeous venue with wooden beams, some beutiful flower decorations (by Ms Reid) and a gospel choir, lots of Pimms, sunshine, a stunning bride, groom and brdiesmaids and a fab band called Pastiche, for a night of wild dancing with the 'olds'! It was a fabulous doo! Great food, plenty of booze and a good ole 'knees up!'
Not forgetting the great bus ride home full of terrible singers, screaming classic songs at the tops of their voices, and the lengthy stint in the bar back at the hotel til 4 am, where champagne was drunk and dirty dancing re-enactments were had! (Claire and Tom - that was MAGNIFICENT entertainment for all in the bar!) For those not there, think if 'the lift' in DD... not only were Claire and Tom not in water for this, Claire was wearing a dress!! Tom got a boob in the eye and there were a few other minor injuries, but they triumphed in the end, with a magnificent lift, coach/advised but some other randoms in the bar, but it all ended in a heap on the floor..... hysterical!

Part 2 of the weekend was my parents BBQ/Hog Roast. Surprisingly, only 3 bottles out of the 45 were drunk of the red wine, but we completely polished off all the Pimms! And to think Dad thought we were going to be short of booze?!! The hog was delish and it seems like all had a good time - the adult bouncing castle went down a treat!! As did the dancing at the end of the night.
The 'olds' showed themselves up, with 2 of my parents friends having drunken falls - honestly! (eyes rolling) Anyway, not sure whether it'll be a yearly occurance, I think ma & pa got a bit stressed about the whole thing, but it all went well and now they've got a party under their belt, they know what to expect next time!
Oh and I raised £350 for the Raynaud's & Scleroderma Assoc in raffle ticket sales and donations - Brilliant!
