Nix, Nat, Pauline, Lex & Caroline. Up and out at a ridiculous hour. Arrive Alicante, hire car, drive on E17, N70 in various directions! Papa Hague, beach, very warm clear sea. Amazing coloured old Spanish buildings on the beach front. Dry River. Pub quiz, cheating, Sangria. Late dinner in El Guitarra, very drunk.

Thurs 9th Aug
Beach, lunch, beach. Pizza in El Gusto, T-Class bar, photo session, bed!

Fri 10th Aug
Beach, lunch, Caroline to airport, beach. Swanky bar with view and dinner at Restaurante Madrid for a potent Paella, a wonder up the beach front, followed by ice creams!

Sat 11th Aug
Beach, lunch, beach. Meet the delightful Polly and her mum in Althea, after a cold train ride, for an amazing Fiesta of fireworks. Chats, moisturise! Bar in Althea, Pauline’s’ bag purchase, train, bed (3.30am)!

Sun 12th Aug
Beach, late lunch El Guitarra, re-open kitchen. Cheesecake – the biscuit! Windy beach, video clip, immense hailstorm! Swanky bar, pizza, bed.

Mon 13th Aug
Beach, lunch, beach. Café with Polly, her mum, papa Hague, Jo Brand and Pete. 80 cents a glass of rose. Tapas in Villa, swanky bar, hammered. Taxi to Benidorm. Tequila, followed swiftly by coke (with vodka!). Nix & Nat - BLIND DRUNK! So much so that parts of the evening are missing and the snogger has no face! Podium dancing, photos, randoms. Ricky Martin, Barney with the purple dinosaur! Ricardo stuck to Pauline’s face – name forgetting, dirty stop-out. Bouncing ring. Bed – late.

Tues 14th Aug
Hung-over.
Alicante with Papa Hague, Polly, her mum and friends for Tapas. Drinks in the square, Lex and Barney meet for drinks.

Wed 15th Aug
Beach, 40 degrees. Home :-(
